The Coalition of Over-Landers and Off-RoaderS 4X4
Founded in 2022, the C.O.L.O.R.S 4X4 Offroad Coalition began as a few friends meeting regularly for off-road fun and good food. The idea of starting another off-road club was not even a thought until we realized that state and federal parks are becoming restricted and even closing. Beach driving areas are becoming smaller and smaller. We will all lose access to most of the places we enjoy if someone doesn’t step up.
Right here in my state and county, for example, beach driving is threatened, restricted and even illegal. The latest restriction has gates and checkpoints installed, and driving on the beach after sundown is no longer allowed. ONLY county residents are allowed to drive on the beach now. This was because of some people from out of state who came here for spring break. They trashed the beach, and there were several assaults and under-age drinking. They left their trash, broken bottles and victims, and went back to their home state, leaving the rest of us to bear the responsibility for their actions.
Nassau County and the State of Florida, like many other counties and states, decided to put an end to the disturbances and trash by restricting driving access to the beaches to county residents only. They also closed the beaches to all drivers after sundown.
We all see the same things in the above pictures. These beaches range from Florida, Georgia, Texas and California. What we DO NOT see are tire tracks and vehicles! What we SHOULD be seeing, instead of tons and tons of garbage, are police units in 4-wheel drives, on horseback and SUV’s and foot patrols, and stacks and stacks of fines and summonses. While I agree that it is everyone’s responsibility to protect, conserve, and safeguard our beaches and other public parks, the decision by Nassau County to close the beaches and restrict beach driving is wrong and holds everyone (especially the innocent) accountable for the actions of others.
The C.O.L.O.R.S 4X4 founding principles are as follows:
1.TREAD LIGHTLY! ALL C.O.L.O.R.S 4X4 members realize that keeping trails open is everyone’s responsibility.
2. NOBODY LEFT BEHIND!
3. ALL EVENTS AND MEETINGS ARE HELD OFF-ROAD!
4. PLANNING! All events are properly planned from start to finish. From security and safety, to toothpicks and napkins, our events are planned several weeks in advance to ensure our members are safe and secure and our events are successful.
5. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
6. NO DISCRIMINATION! C.O.L.O.R.S 4X4 members will enjoy a stress-free environment without any fear of discrimination, including political, racial, religious, gender, age or sexual harassment.

Why Do we support the Stephen Siller’s Tunnel to Towers Foundation?
ON 11 September, 2001, I was 45 years old. Stephen Sillers and I were born in the same year, 1966. Stephen had everything to live for: a great wife, five wonderful children, a devoted extended family, and friends. Stephen’s parents were lay Franciscans, and he grew up under the guiding philosophy of St. Francis of Assisi, whose encouraging and inspirational phrase “While we have time, let us do good.” were words that Stephen lived by. Stephen’s life and heroic death serve as a reminder to us all to live life to the fullest and to spend our time here on earth doing good; this is his legacy.
Author and family friend Jay Price wrote: “Every momentous event, even a tragedy, has its symbolic figures. September 11th was no different; it just had a few more of them. Rudy Giuliani, Father Mychal Judge, the four guys on United Flight 93… a hundred more… a thousand. None is bigger than Stephen Siller, whose stature only grows with time as New Yorkers and people from around the world follow in his footsteps.”
The Tunnel To Towers Foundation, Since 9/11, have been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. They are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
